Mr. S. Jarvis, of Midland Road, Bedford, has just executed a marble tablet which is to be placed in the church at North Crawley, and the inscription, which is as follows, explains itself: -"In memory of Elizabeth Ann, the beloved and lamented daughter of Mrs. Williams, Crawley Grange and Astwood, and widow of the late Rev. Charles Ware, vicar of Astwood, born 22nd January, 1841, married on the 16th August, 1860, to the above (then the Rev. C. Cumberlege) died on the 6th March, 1872, leaving three daughter and one son. She was the daughter of the late John Williams, Esq., Bombay Civil Service, and Elizabeth M. Montgomery, daughter of the late William Boswell, Esq., Advocate Sheriff of Berwickshire, and Elizabeth, youngest daughter of the late James Boswell, Esq., Auchinleck, N. B." The tablet, which is oval in form, is of white statuary marble, placed upon a broad slab of black marble, and the inscription is bordered by floral sculpture of a chaste design, artistically executed.
